The Scottish Council for Single Homeless (SCSH) is a national membership organisation for organisations and individuals tackling homelessness. This site is produced and maintained by SCSH's Housing Education Project.

SCSH believes that leaving home and housing education has an important role to play in preventing youth homelessness as well as assisting in the difficult transition into independent living. Many young people leave home in an unplanned way or lack the knowledge and skills to obtain and successfully maintain suitable accommodation. This can and does lead to housing crisis and, in the most extreme cases, homelessness.

Our aim is to develop housing education across Scotland and establish housing education as a permanent and sustainable part of the work of education, housing and youth work professionals.
