Work in Schools
Who Does the Work? We co-ordinate our own inputs.
Who Pays for It? Council/Supporting people
How is it delivered? We do it as an interactive quiz session we use the being young in Scotland stats and have our own being young in east dunbarton stats we ask questions with a housing related theme.
We also give a short spiel on the Project and what services we offer.
Who is Targeted? Pupils in S4 – S6
What Resources Are Used? Being young in Scotland stats and general EDC stats.
Project booklets and freebies.
How long has work in this (or other) form being going on? We have offered inputs since 2001 and they are as and when requested by the schools we tend to go in and cover a class at a time over a period of 6 weeks, dependant on the number of classes needed to be covered.
How is the work monitored / evaluated? Students complete an evaluation and a report is compiled at the end of each session of inputs and sent out to the schools.
Commentary Every school in our council area is contacted each year to offer inputs then it is up to the teacher to contact us and then we arrange dates, times etc.
Work Outwith Schools
Who does the work? Project 101
Who pays for it? Council/Supporting people
How is it delivered? Independent Living Skills Course, a 5 week course one evening per week. The Independent Living Skills Pack was developed and launched early 2005.
Who is targeted? Young people who are near the top of the housing list or have a tenancy and aren’t coping very well, we also receive referrals for young people who have rent arrears to look at supporting them with this.
